• To promote and teach classical Yoga in all its forms, to all people without consideration of class, religion, race or gender.
• To maintain and improve the standard and teaching of Yoga.
• To promote Yoga as a means of improving physical, mental and spiritual health.
• To encourage people to go deeper into spiritual life using Yogic techniques and principles.

Additional aims of the Ashram are:

• To act as a place where people can learn and practise selfless service (Karma Yoga) as a means to increase perception and awareness.
• To be a quiet and harmonious place where people can practise more advanced Yogic techniques, especially meditation, to gain insight into their own mind and emotions, and to move closer to realising their spiritual potential and essence. Also, to be a place where people can live simply and in closer touch with nature.
• To organise quality seminars or courses on the main paths of Yoga.
• To train professional and inspiring Yoga teachers.
• To carry the Light of Yoga into the troubled modern world and thereby usher in a better tomorrow; to be a mandala - place of focussed vibrant energy, where people can learn to live harmoniously both with themselves and others, and thereby with the community at large.
